Tressie Vernette Halbrook

Mrs. Tressie Vernette Halbrook, 88, of Conway, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010.

She was born August 8, 1921 at Guy, AR, to the late James and Amanda Perkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Halbrook, two brothers, three sisters, and a grandson, Matt Ryan.

Survivors include two daughters, Meredith Boren and husband Ernest of Allen, TX, and Janie Ryan and husband Loyd of Conway; one son, Dale Halbrook and wife Evonna of Conway; four grandchildren, Chris Ryan and wife Jamie of Conway, Jennifer Boren of Allen, TX, Amanda Matthews and husband Brad of Conway, and Cara Cromwell and husband Cash of Conway; and by four great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Rev. John Greer officiating.

Visitation is Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Cash Cromwell, Brad Matthews, John Reno, Chris Ryan, Jimmy Fielder, and Wayne Stevenson.
