Eva Lois Lee, 99, died November 21, 2009 in Clinton, AR. She was born September 15, 1910 in Tupelo, MS to Alex and Addie Mae Cothran. She spent her life in Arkansas living in Okalona a few years, then moving to Parkin and graduating from Parkin High School in 1930, where she was a star player on the women's basketball team. She married J. Alvis Bagwell in 1933 and they had a son, Richard. In 1961 she married Gordon Lee and they moved to West Memphis. Her husband preceded her in death in 1993. She retired from Arkansas Power and Light in Marion, AR after 25 years of service. She was very active in the Calvary Baptist Church in West Memphis and volunteered much of her time in helping others, driving to pick up medications, food or taking them to appointments. In 2000 she moved to Indian Rock Village, Fairfield Bay, AR to be near her son, Richard and daughter-in-law, Susie. She loved traveling with them to Texas, Arizona and down into Mexico to visit the grandchildren and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Ralph Cothran of Memphis, TN, Jack Cothran of Parkin, AR and Billie Cothran of California and three sisters, Dorothy Westmoreland of West Memphis, AR, Edith Washington of Pontotoc, MS and Beatrice Shaw of Fort Worth, TX. She leaves her son, Richard Bagwell and daughter-in-law, Susie Bagwell of Greers Ferry, AR; grandsons, Lt. Col. Scott Bagwell (Lisa) of San Antonio, TX and United Airlines First Officer Lance Bagwell (Amy) of Phoenix, AZ and two great-grandchildren, Alec Bagwell and Skylar Rose Bagwell of San Antonio and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday November 27, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR with the visitation from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. Interment will be in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR.
