October 31, 1940 - February 25, 2008

Bill E. Phillips, 67, of Perryville, eldest son of Guy A. and Bettie Jewel (Sartin) Phillips, passed into heaven on February 25, 2008 at home surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. Phillips was born October 31, 1940 and grew up in North Little Rock, AR, where he graduated from NLR High in 1958. He joined the United States Navy and served in Okinawa as a Navel Intel Officer, worked in Aerospace Industry, retired from Northrop/Grumman Corp in CA. He was a systems analyst and manager of Micrographics and Image Scanning.

After returning to Arkansas in March of 1996, he worked for Perry County Sheriff's office as a dispatcher and jail administrator from which he retired in July of 2007. Mr. Phillips enjoyed the outdoors and was a kind, honest person who loved life and the company of his girls, Sadie Roxy and Asia Lucy.

Mr. Phillips is survived by a loving wife of fourteen years, Patricia (Rasmussen) Phillips, daughter, Christine Higa (Roy) of Ontario, CA; Kendra Stumpf (Robert) of Pleasanton, CA; step-daughter, Jennifer Cumplido of Whittier, CA; step-son, Richard Cumplido (Corine) of Huntinton Beach, CA; four grandchildren; Kalaya Cook, Kimiko Higa, Andrew Villafuerte, and Justin Villafuerte, a brother, a sister, and a host of family and friends.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tsuda and staff, Dr. Shirley, Dr. Lee, Conway Regional Medical Center's Oncology staff, and Respiratory Therapist for their wonderful care. Special thank you to Perry County Sheriff's office, Bro. Denis and Teresa LaCook, Darlene Spinks, and special cousins Tommy and Peggy Phillips.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: Humane Society of Conway, American Cancer Society, and Arkansas Hospice.
