John Richard Wright, 61, of Elaine passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 in Elaine. Mr. Wright was born April 15, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late John Gilbert Wright and the late Rachael Edgin Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Perkins Wright of Elaine; his children, Vickie Williams and husband, Darel, of McCrory, Richard Wright and wife, Danyelle, of Enid, Mississippi, Robyn Marlow of Cleveland, Mississippi, Rendy Bishop and husband, Brian, of Lambrook and Glen Gibson of West Helena; a brother, Terry Wright and wife, Janice of Poplar Grove; grandchildren, Travis Williams, Brandice Williams, Jordan Young, Blake Gibson, Madyson Rowsey, Ethan Gibson, Hadyn Steiner, and Doltan Williams; 1 great-granddaughter, Taylor Rae Williams.

Graveside services for John Wright will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Reverend Luke Watson will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Patton, Wayne Huff, Scotty Ketchum, Kenny Laxson, John Summerhill, Carroll Ward, Wally Cox, Jack Wells and Curtis Crisp. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin George, Ross Williamson, Chuck Hallman, Phillip Mann, Terry Lee Wright, Clark Short and Macon Perkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202-3591.
