Opal Lou (Treadwell) Treat, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on September 09, 2007. She was born on June 18, 1924 to Hugh and Julie Ann (McCarson) Treadwell in Marshall, Arkansas.


Opal was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church. She was a Christian servant to those in need. She loved gardening and being with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marion Treat, parents Hugh and Julie, three sons: Johnie Morris, Eddie Hugh, and Douglas Edward, three sisters: Verna Moore, Buel Holliman, Enid Hotman, two brothers: Garland Treadwell and Junior Hugh Treadwell.

Survivors include: daughter; Nancy Jones, sister; Racine Ragland, two brothers; Chester and Loey Treadwell all of Marshall. Grandchildren: Lisa and husband Mike Walker, Lori and husband Ryan Bauer, Ronnie Treat, Clara Rose Treat, Jennifer Jones, Jessica Jones, Michael Treat, Michelle Treat. Great-Grandchildren: A.J., Lorisa, and Lauren Walker, Brooklyn Bauer, Doug and Bailee Treat, David Treat and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday September 10, 2007 at Roller-Coffman Chapel.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Roller-Coffman Chapel with Larry Treadwell officiating.
Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Mike Walker, Ryan Bauer, Michael Treat, Ronnie Treat, Jim Horton, Doug Treat, AJ Walker. Honorary Pallbearers: Ronnie Treadwell, Steve Treadwell, Marcus Treadwell, Shawn Treadwell, Bill Ragland, Hughy Ragland, Randy Treadwell, Donnie Holliman, David Holliman, Michael Holliman, Danny Treadwell, Paul Treadwell.
