Edna Flora Tate, age 99, of Little Rock went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. She was born January 16, 1908 in Enola, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Andrew and Christy Jefferies Heffington. She was a member of Martindale Baptist Church. She loved her Lord, her home, her family and her grandkids. She was the last of the ten children. She always wanted to be 100 years old.
Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Tate; four sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by her son, Clovis C. Tate and his wife, Lorenne of Natchitoches, Louisiana; daughters, Billie Heard of Little Rock, Donna S. Rutledge and husband, Edward of North Little Rock ,Christy Brown and husband, Max of Alexander; fourteen grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 5th at the Roller-Drummond Funeral Chapel on I-30 with Reverend Johnny J. Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home (501) 455-5800.
