Dear Libby, Bonnie, Tom and Family:
Your dad and our family had so many special times together over the past decade and beyond. I’m so thankful our parents found each other after their first loves passed on. What a blessing your dad and our mom were to ea other and through them, we were all happy and blessed too. Mr. Sonny and I began writing letters to each other after mom passed away. Since we have all been sick, we haven’t been able to travel so I always looked forward to his letters. We continued on down life’s path with our interesting and sometimes ‘deep’ conversations and discussions about God, politics, and the general state of our health and other life issues. [We didn’t always agree on the politics but we knew that was ok - we had r-e-s-p-e-c-t between us that transcended personal opinion.] It was true in person and within our letters, we always had to cut up a little; usually telling a joke or sharing a funny story. Put simply, I loved your daddy as if he were my own. He loved our mother and she thought he hung the very moon in the sky above. As far as we were concerned, he did. I could go on and on but I will always cherish our memories (and those letters are like precious gold to me). The last time we saw him (I believe in March of this year), we both knew it might be the last time on this old earth (eyeball to eyeball) and and we hugged a little tighter, and held on a lil longer. If I could, I would be there today for the services but regrettably, am simply not physically able to make the trip. Will be thinking of and praying for all of you today and in the days, weeks, and months ahead. If you ever take a notion to call me, please do so - anytime. There will never be another Sonny. There will never be another Ted, (our dad). They simply don’t make em’ like that anymore. The fact that both great men were also farming buddies from way back only makes the story even more meaningful to me. He sure loved all of his kids, grandkids, and other family and friends. Loved him with my whole heart and soul and will surely miss him and his letters, his ‘stories’, wit, occasional calls and visits. What a true and wonderful man of God he was on this side of heaven. I can only imagine what God has in store for him on the streets of gold. God bless you all - and God bless Mr. Sonny. Love you forever. Mean it❣️♥️✝️♥️

Having grown up together, & attended the First Presbyterian Church in Osceola while we lived in Victoria, I know your dad was a very faithful man of God. I know he trusted in God, to help him fight his Cancer battle, then to call him home, to the place in Heaven that was reserved for him, when his time came. I know you all will miss his physical presence here on Earth, but he prepared you to know someday every member of the family will be together again. I am so sorry I couldnt attend his service in person, & will keep each of you in my thoughts & prayers.
With Sincere Sympathy, Diann Albritton

Piedmont, OK

My heart breaks for you guys. The hole he left in this physical world is huge I know. The good part tho is he is in no more pain! I bet he already joined the farmers union in Heaven and I bet he is having a great time! I also think the first thing he probably said to Dad was, “man I’m glad we are here instead of down there! It is a mess and you wouldn’t like it!!!”
