Burlie Thomas, 98, of Conway went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 06, 2016.
He was born in Greenbrier on Monday, March 26, 1917 to William Jr. and Lula Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Maudie Griffin Thomas, two sisters, Faye Wells and Rosalie Thomas and one brother Ivan Thomas.

Survivors include two sons Robbie Thomas (Pam) and Ronnie Thomas (girlfriend Gloria), five grandchildren, Joanne Scott (Todd), Mike Thomas (Roxanne), Kara Bryant (Daniel), Ashley Engelmann, and Bradley Thomas, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and one sister, Alma Petrocione.

Burlie was a long time member of Centerville Methodist Church.

He was one of the founding fathers of Bean bag baseball. He played for the Conway Shakers. He was inducted into the Bean Bag Baseball Hall Of Fame in 2013.

Pallbearers are Mike Thomas, Bradley Thomas, Jake Thomas, Jack Matthews, Harold Smith, Carroll Winter.

Honorary Pallbears are the Conway Shaker Bean Bag Baseball team.

In Lieu of flower donations can be made to Conway Senior Citizens Center John and Ola Hawks, Parkinson's disease foundation, or Cancer Society (Pancreatic).

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3-5 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.

Worked with Mr. Burlie at Coachette back in the Mid 70's. He was always such a pleasant Man to be around,Always Had a Smile on his Face and A kind Word for everyone. He will be Missed, Heaven has Gained a Wonderful Addition. I will be Praying For You Boys.
