Ruth Ellen Bluemlein, 78 of Lamar, passed away Tuesday, February 02, 2016 in Lamar. Ms. Bluemlein was born September 14, 1937 in Hartman to Mr. Ernest C. and Tillie (Rauser) Drittler. Ruth was a member of the American Legion, NRA, Farm Bureau; she was a Lifetime Member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she was the organist for 61 years. She enjoyed deer hunting and being outdoors, bowling, and quilting. She made many quilts for the Arkansas Children's Hospital. Ms. Bluemlein is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John George Bluemlein; and one son, John David Bluemlein.

Ms. Bluemlein is survived by one brother, Edmund and Pat Drittler of Lamar; one sister, Ruby Taylor of Magazine; three nephews, William Drittler of Fayetteville, Jerry Drittler of Flint, MI., and Ernest Ward of Lamar; three nieces, Sherry Choate of Elma, WA., Kelly Wight of Bartlesville, OK., and Terri Tedford of TX.

Visitation for Ms. Bluemlein will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the River Valley Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Herb Swanson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Lutherville with Jerry Drittler, William Drittler, Ernie Ward, Sean Ward, Leo Knoernschild, and Donald Langdon serving as pallbearers.
The family has requested memorials be given to River Valley Grace Lutheran Church.
