Anita Jo Downey, age 52, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Anita was born in Searcy, AR. on January 10, 1964.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Louise Spaulding and Ruby Taylor.
She was survivored by her daughter Brittany Wiles who was the love of her life; her parents, Robert (Lavei) Downey and Carolyn Downey, Her Brother Robert Earl (Tanya) Downey, and several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. Anita was loved by her two canine companions Kiwi and Allie.
Pallbearers are Curt Downey, John Downey, Joe Downey, Paul Jones, Henry Matlock and Thomas Earl Evans JR.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, January 30, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rosary/Visitation will be one hour before. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

I was shocked and saddened to learn this morning of Anita's passing. Anita and I would often talk about years gone by when she and Richard dated.
Anita told me about her daughter and how she was her entire world---how beautiful, smart and loving.
