I grew up right down the dirt road from Mo & Harry....She was my babysitter & 2nd Mother!!! I learned many life lessons at Mo & Harry's house .......And was fortunate enough for my daughters to know her also! I will miss my MOMO!
Modean was a fine and most helpful person!!
Many fond memories when I was a lad staying at Harry and Mo's house in the summer. Many times we would go down to Mama and Daddy Bill's for lunch. Harry would shoot a guinea or chicken out of the yard, Mama would clean and cook it on the wood cook stove along with fresh veggies out of the garden and, always, biscuits. Mo was a very good cook as well. They were all part of the "village" that raised me. Rest in peace Modean.
She will be missed.
I like to remember all the summers I spent at Mo's house. We had such a good time, we might can corn or pick blackberries but the best were the big cookouts with all the family, friends and neighbors. Lots of people milling about, talking laughing and eating until we were stuffed then sitting in the shade and listening to the grown ups tell stories. Everyone was laid back and laughing, we kids always laughed too even though we didn't always know why. Mo and Harry had the 1st color TV in group, I will never forget all the folks piling into the living room to watch Miss America in COLOR! Wow! (Miss Texas won) So many great memories. I will miss her every day. I love you Mo Mo.
