Byrd Evelyn Shock, 89, of Conway passed from this life on Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was born Monday, January 11, 1926 in Conway, Arkansas to Fred D. Rhode and Alice Steele ''Han'' Hockersmith Rhode. Mrs. Shock was a lifelong member of Wesley and First United Methodist Church in Conway. She was a graduate of Conway High School, Arkansas State Teachers College and the loving mother of five.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Calvin C. Shock, son Shannon L. Shock, sisters, Janice Darling, Lucille Carpenter, Martha Jene Murphree, and Eloise Rhode.
Survivors include sons Michael Shock and wife Melissa of Conway, Randy Shock and wife Patti Jo of Fort Smith, daughters Adair Howell and husband Ritchie of Conway, Laurel Breashears and husband Thorpe of Conway, grandchildren Matthew M. Shock and wife Samantha, Marcus S. Shock and wife Elizabeth, Heath D. Howell, Noah R. Shock and Dylan S. Moore. Other survivors include great grandchildren Kase M. Shock, Kody M. Shock, Holden R. Shock and Landry C. Shock along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Conway with Reverend Michael Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway.
Pallbearers will be Matthew M. Shock, Marcus S. Shock, Heath D. Howell, Noah R. Shock, Dylan S. Moore and Kase M. Shock. Kody M. Shock, Holden R. Shock and Landry C. Shock will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made in her memory to the Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler Street Conway, Arkansas 72032, or First United Methodist Church of Conway, 1610 Prince Street Conway, Arkansas 72034

To the family of Byrd Evelyn.
Please accept my sincere condolences. Something that I personally founded is in the Bible at John5:28,29 and Revelation 21:4.
These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death.
