I was so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

John 14:1-4 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.

My Meemaw was an awesome, kind, giving and brave woman. How else can I describe a woman who was planning her retirement and envisioning road trips with my sweet grandad but chose to prolong those plans to take in and raise two little girls whose mom was ill and not able to properly care for them. She taught me many things. One of the most important was that a mother could love a child whether it was biological or a unexpected gift as was the case with me. She would always tell me she loved me as her own and I know that she did. As I've raised my own children, my memories of Meemaws wisdom have been my guide. If all else fails, I start my sentence with Meemaw would have.... And that settles the issue. I thank God frequently for putting these beautiful, kind hearted people in my path. I can't imagine what my life would have been without her. Although, my Meemaw is now resting, her memory lives on as there is always
something that reminds me of her. Thank you my beautiful Meeaw for all that you did for me, my little sister and my children. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Hazel was a wonderful woman. I considered her a dear friend. She was never happier than when she was listening to her family or others play that old-time country music. I have many good memories of those special times. Each of you is in my heart.
