Mamie Lou Rushing, 91, of Batesville and West Memphis died Monday, October 5, 2015, at Mountain Meadows Health and Rehabilitation in Batesville.
Born March 23, 1924, in Wright, Mississippi, she was the daughter of John David Conoway and Ruth Chote Conoway.
She and her husband enjoyed camping and she loved to cook, especially for her family. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include a son, Tony Rushing and his wife, Alannette, of Oil Trough, Arkansas; granddaughters, Amy Antonio Wittig and her husband, Mark, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Robin Halle Hinch and her husband, Grant, also of Tulsa; two great-grandsons, Jacob Hinch and Hayden Hinch; a sister, Margaret Waddle of Red Banks, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews; and her caregivers, Deanne Bishop and her daughter, Donna.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 70 years, Herman M. Rushing; and a son, Phillip G. Rushing.
There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis.
Burial will be in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral of West Memphis.
Visitation is from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rushing was a very sweet lady and neighbor. She will be missed. Prayers for the

Mrs. Rushing was one of the sweetest ladies. I enjoyed visiting with her....just wish I had gone more often. I really liked her. She was my sister's neighbor.
