I want to give tribute to my amazing father. He was a wonderful and loving dad. He spent so much time with all of us while we were growing up. We spent many days traveling the country in revivals with him. I treasure those days because they were filled with so much joy for him and all of us. He is a great Man Of God and I will Always have the utmost respect for him. I love you Daddy and will see you again one day. I hope you are happy up there shouting with Mama and all your life long friends. I know you have already heard. ," well done, thy good and faithful servant."

Bro Charles, there are no words sufficient to express what you have meant to us over the years. We truly loved you as our spiritual father. To the Shipman family, we are praying for very special grace. Go after God with all you've got, Torey, Holt and Chas. It won't be long before we see him once again.

We met Bro. Charles in 1979 at First Baptist Church of Bayard, Fl./Pastor Harper Bumpers......we both got saved at that revival meeting!! Bro. Charles came to Idaho to preach at our Living Water Camp Meeting several times....in fact, he was keynote speaker at our first camp and had a BIG job as people up here didn't know much about camp meetings!! So many of our church family were saved off the church pew under his preaching! What a wonderful person and preacher he was and we loved him dearly. So glad we will be together in GLORY for eternity!!

Cindy, David and Suzanne,
You have my deepest sympathies. I know you already realize you shared your father with so many people. He touched and loved more people in this world than you can even imagine. Some you will never even know. His loss will be felt by so many. But know that he led so many people to God. His strong kind voice, his sweetness, his sincerity, his honesty but mostly his love for his family, both biological and his church is the legacy he leaves behind. God bless you during the trying times and the tears that will follow his passing. But one day the memories will become sweet smiles.
XOXO

Rod and I wish we could come down but he has to workand I have class. We are thankful for Brother Shipman and his wife. He mentored our pastor, and preached many revival meetings at our church. Durning one of them I let go of my false prression and ask the Lord into my heart. Because of this our middle sons middle name is Robert (after Harbin) Charles (after Shipman). We are praying for the family, church and friends. Please know he will be missed. We will look forward to the day when we see Brother and Mrs. Shipman again!

I was saved July 31, 1998 at the Mississippi Delta Camp meeting under Bro. Shipman. My dad loved this man as a mentor but even more so as a father. Bro Shipman was like a grandfather to me. I can't even imagine how high he's kicking his legs right now having himself a grand old time with Jesus.

Red and I are sincerely sorry for your loss as well as our loss. Bro. Shipman was one of the best preachers to reside in Myrtle and preach at our Church. He was truly a great preacher. You children and grandchildren have a wonderful heritage from your parents. You will be in our thoughts and prayers, especially during the difficult days ahead of you. We loved him dearly.
