Velma Ilene Coker, 67, of Conway, completed her earthly journey and went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She was born May 20, 1948 in Searcy to the late Ferris W. and Ruby M. (French) Glosser. Velma was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Velma was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church. She retired from Kimberly Clark in Conway.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Larry Coker, daughter, Angela Stamm (Rick) of Indianapolis ID, son in law, Monty Moix, two grandchildren, Jacob and Katlyn Moix, four brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3rd at Friendship Baptist Church in Conway, with Bro. Ken Jordan officiating.
Sorry to hear that Velma has gone home, but I am certain that she is rejoicing to be with Jesus!!

Velma was one of a kind - so loving, caring, and giving to others! I'll always remember sitting beside her at Friendship Baptist Church; when a prayer was given, she was holding Larry's hand on the left and mine on her right. I will love and miss her always.

Velma was a beautiful woman inside and out. Her laugh was unmistakable. She made working at KC a whole lot more fun that it would have been without her. I pray that God's Holy Spirit wraps around you all during this difficult time.

Velma was a very sweet person and fun to be around. I dearly enjoyed working with her at kc. I will truly miss her for she was a very dear friend of ours. I pray that God will wrap his arms around the Coker family and see them through this difficult time. My prayers go out to Monty and his family and pray that God will watch over them and be there for them. God bless you.

What a joy it was to work with Velma at KC and then to continue our friendship after retirement. We talked for hours over the phone and laughed about her flying to Hawaii. I am going to miss our weekly conversations, but I know all is well with her now.
