Wanda Lee Downs Bowers, 75, of Cave City, Arkansas went to her heavenly home Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in Alexander, Arkansas.
Born May 20, 1940, in Batesville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Downs and Mary Lou Palmer Downs.
Wanda enjoyed trout fishing, playing Mario video games and dancing. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoying spending time with them. She loved the Lord and was a member of Cave Creek Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, James Franklin and wife, Mary Jane, and Tyison Bowers, all of Cave City; two daughters, Jerrie Dailey of Alexander and Mattie Edwards of Hensley, Arkansas; step-son, Keith Bowers and wife, Tiziana, of Jonesboro; step-daughters, Deborah Wyatt of Rosie, and Mona Bowers Bennett Arnold and husband, Mike, of Jacksonville, NC; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Downs and wife, Geraldine, of Batesville and William ''Buck'' Downs and wife, Betty, of Cave City; a special cousin, Hank Williams of Batesville; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Jackson Bowers; daughter, Rebecca Franklin; sisters, Reavonda Renfrow, Jowanda Downs; and brothers, Caril Downs and Jerry Downs.
There will be a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Roller-Crouch
Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with Pastor Eric Downs officiating.
Burial will be private.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Downs, Jimmie Downs, Hank Williams, Benny Bishop, Taylor Downs, Barry Downs, and Tyler Dailey.
There will be no visitation.
To Lee's family.... I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mother. It is so hard to lose someone you love. Do you girls remember coming to my house one time when you were little?
You'll be missed momma.I loved you more then you'll ever know. Thank you for raising me...
