of Helena, AR
June 1, 1930 - September 14, 2015
Wesley Neal Freemyer, the man who was the four corners of the world to his family, joined his beloved wife, Patsy, on September 14, 2015 in Heaven. He will best be remembered as a true Southern gentleman with an ever-present twinkle in his bright blue eyes and gifts of both wit and graciousness.
Wesley was born on June 1, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a 1953 graduate of Hendrix College where he met and later married the apple of his eye, Patsy Bennett Freemyer. Following service in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, they made their home in Helena, Arkansas in 1961. He was the Founder and President of Helena Adjustment Company and recognized for his many contributions to the Helena-West Helena community and the Helena United Methodist Church. To his children, he was a model for how to love your family, live your values, recognize your blessings and do your part to give back. To his friends, he was known for his fine sense of humor, his hospitable nature, his pleasure in spending an evening out and the enthusiasm with which he danced with his wife.
He was greeted in the next life by his wife of more than 60 years, Patsy and his sons, Kenneth Wesley Freemyer and Richard Wayne Freemyer. He made everything ''right in the world'' for his daughters, Norma Edmonds Hargraves (Bev), Patti Freemyer Martin and Emily Freemyer Atkins (Charlie), who will carry on his philosophy about life and love. He was the adored ''Grandad'' to Simon Ortiz, Wesley Ann Thomas and Virginia Freemyer, John, Ellen and Bennett Martin and Mary Michael, Matthew, Joseph, Nicholas and Anne Henry Maggio.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Roller-Citizen in West Helena, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Helena United Methodist Church.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Freemyer. I got to know him after I started working at the Assessor's Office. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Heartfelt sympathy to the Freemyer family.
Dearest Patti, Norma, Emily and family,
We are so very sad to hear of your father's death.
This makes us think of each of you that much
more since you have also lost your mother
this year. We enjoyed knowing them and
working with them in church and in other
areas in Helena. Please accept our sincere
sympathy and know that our thoughts and
prayers will be with you often as you adjust
to not having them near. They were both
leaders that so many looked up to and
admired and appreciated. We have many
memories of them and all of you as you were
growing up in Helena. We extend our
deepest condolences to each of you . May
God give you special strength and peace
in the days ahead.
Our love, Ed and Ramona Rose
