Ron Ford, 73, of Batesville, died Sunday at his home.
He was born in Yuma, Arizona and was the son of Noel and Myrle (Slade) Ford.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served on the USS Picking destroyer. He was a member of the VFW in Desha and the DAV. He was an auto mechanic and could fix anything. He was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva (May) Ford of the home; a step-son, Michael Smith of Southside; two daughters, Wendy Ford of Arizona and Rose Ford of Florida; two step-daughters, Bertha Ann Musser of Bethesda, Lynn Pitts of Swifton; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Ray Ford and a sister, Mona Bone of Tucson, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Paula Ford.
Cremation services are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
