Becky West Wood, 62, of Charlotte, died Sunday in Cave City.

She was born in Batesville, AR on August 13, 1953 and was the daughter of Marvin and Janette (Smith) West.

She was a 1971 graduate of Sulphur Rock High School, a member of Sulphur Rock Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, making flower decorations, and singing and playing the piano.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Wood, of Charlotte; a son, Cameron Wood of Charlotte; five grandchildren; Whitney Wood of Charlotte, Chantrey Wood of Batesville, Brooklyn Wood of Floral, Brady Wood, also of Floral, and Kenzie Wood of Newark; her father, Marvin West of Sulphur Rock; a brother, Jimmy West of Sulphur Rock; and nieces and nephews: April Wood of Charlotte, Cindy Bishop and husband, Kerwin, also of Charlotte, and Adam West of Sulphur Rock.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, Brandon Wood; and a nephew, Christopher West.

Pallbearers will be Kerwin Bishop, Bryce Bishop, Heath Bishop, Casey Coles, Clayton Mack, and Adam West. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Sulphur Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Tracy Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Charlotte Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

I have many fond memories from going to school with and growing up in the community with Becky and Jimmy. I regret being unable to attend any of the service. Mine and Kathy's prayers and thoughts are with the family during this time of sorrow.
