Elroy T. Thweatt, 84, of West Memphis, AR passed away August 13, 2015.
He was born to the late Monroe and Mildred Thweatt in Oxford, MS. He was an employee of Illinois Central Railroad for 40 years 5 months 19 days and enjoyed every day of it. He loved his co-workers and considered them his dearest friends. Early in life Elroy lived in Fort Pickering in Memphis and attended school at Riverside and Southside.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years and 9 months, Bonnie Thweatt of West Memphis, AR; 2 sons, Rodney Thweatt of West Memphis, AR, Dana Thweatt of Payneway, AR; 2 daughters, Rhonda Medley of Marion, AR, Debbi Eubanks (Ricky) of Proctor, AR; 9 grandchildren, Matt Thweatt, Jesse Thweatt, Josh Thweatt, Brett Holland, Gavin Thweatt, Tia Williams, Hillary Roark, Pennie Medley, Erica Pitts; 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way; 2 sisters, Annette Reese of Chicago, IL, LaVera Jolly (Fred) of Proctor, AR; and a large number of nieces and nephews that he loved as his own.

Rodney, Rhonda, Deb and family it sounds like your dad was a great and caring person. Even though we hate to let them go, sit back and remember all the wonderful times you did have with him. Look to The Lord for comfort because he He his always there for us.
