Jerry Wayne Sykes, age 79, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in Harrison. He was born August 3, 1935, in Blytheville, Arkansas, the son of John T. and Mattie Sue (Ball) Sykes. Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette L. Sykes.

Jerry was a U. S. Navy veteran. He married Jeanette Louise Voge July 12, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a retired dock worker.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Kirk Sykes and Todd Sykes; his daughter, Barbara Sykes; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other family and friends.


Visitation was Saturday, July 25, 2015, prior to the service.

Graveside service was Saturday, July 25, 2015, at White Church Cemetery, with Bro. Sam Boyd officiating.
