Catherine Murry Pence (Maple), 74, of Little Rock went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was born August 21, 1940, in Conway, Arkansas to Richard Martin Pence Sr. and Edna Earle Pence. She was preceded in death by her father Richard.
Catherine was a graduate of UCA. She worked for over 30 years as a teacher for Little Rock Public Schools before retiring. She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving companion, Paul Frechette of Little Rock; her mother, Edna Earle of Conway; her brother, Richard Pence (Jann) of Little Rock; one daughter, Julie Sevier of Fayetteville; one son, David Sevier (Karen) of Little Rock; one grandchild, Anna Murry Ziegler of Fayetteville; a niece, Ann-Marie Passmore (Jim) of Dallas, Texas; a nephew, Richard Martin Pence III (Lynnae) of Charleston, South Carolina; and many other loving family members and friends.
Catherine will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside Memorial Service will be 11a.m Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Oak Grove Cemetery Conway, AR.

Catherine and I were so close during our freshman year at the U of A, then I more or less lost track of her after that year. We must have been much alike, however, as I have taught school in Springdale for 30 years! I remember her as a pretty and oh, so sweet person. Also, my mom always spoke so highly of the Young family. My thoughts are with you.
