Merle Fritts of Searcy passed away June 10, 2015 at the V. A. Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 87.
He was born October 17, 1927 in Velvet Ridge to Leslie and Velva Cross Fritts. He served in the United States Army and he was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Jobe Fritts of the Home, three sons, Dwight (Janet) Fritts of Lawton, Oklahoma, Terry (Judy) Fritts of Bradford, Kent (Judith) Fritts of Bald Knob, a daughter, Janelle (Lee) Selvidge of Searcy, four sisters, Norma Higgs, Betty McCoy, and Linda Fritts of Wichita, Kansas, Ozella Overstreet of Searcy, nine grandchildren, Melissa Fritts and Julie Green of Lawton, Oklahoma, Derek Selvidge of Beebe, Brent, Shane and Kellie Fritts of Bradford, Brian Fritts and Teesha Hutchinson of Bald Knob, Jason Payne of Judsonia a step-daughter, Kathy Payne of Searcy, several great-grandchildren and his first wife and mother of his children Syble Mason Fritts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Bruce Fritts and a grandson, Collin Selvidge.
Visitation at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy 6-8 PM Thursday, June 11, 2015. Funeral Services in the Funeral Home Chapel Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10 AM.
