Mr. Edwin ''Ed'' Kimbrel, 92, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. He was born December 29, 1922 in Fallsville, AR to W.D. ''Dave'' and Vennie (Harderson) Kimbrel.
Ed was a truck driver by trade, and loved baseball and Bluegrass music. He was a member of Oakland Street Church.
Mr. Kimbrel is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Juanita Elizabeth Farris Kimbrel; parents; three infant daughters, two sisters, Verna Titsworth and Frankie Vaughn. He is survived by his sons, Eddie and Dianne Kimbrel of Broken Arrow, OK, Kenny and Lynne Kimbrel of Nixa, MO; sister Iladene and Billy Houston of Ft. Smith; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00p.m., Monday, June 8, 2015 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Kimbrel's funeral service will be held at 1:00p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Oakland Street Church in Clarksville, with Rev. Carl Sory officiating. Burial will follow in Mossville Cemetery. With Daryl Vaughn, Barry Vaughn, Darin Vaughn, Danny Hefley, Nathan Harderson, and Eric Houston serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doy Kimbrel, Melvin Kimbrel, and Brian Vaughn.
