Mrs. Carlene Fitts, age 87, passed away at Crestpark Retirement Inn in Helena, Arkansas on June 1, 2015. She was born to Fred and Ida Weaver on December 29, 1927, in Tennessee. She lived in the Brinkley and West Helena areas all of her life.
She was married to Robert Preston Fitts and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Freddie Fitts and Gerald Fitts and by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Spencer (John) of Oneida and Sydney Watts (Barney) of Brinkley, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Carlene worked for the Dr. Rangaswami family for many years and enjoyed working puzzles and cooking for her family and friends. Carlene was of the Church of Christ faith.
Funeral services for Carlene Fitts will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with visitation at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Tommy Jacobs will officiate.
Pallbearers are Roland Holub, Robert Holub, Gerald Watts, Nathan Holub, Curtis Rohrscheib, and Dakota Smith. Honorary pallbearer is Ronald Holub.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

Carlene was my Granny too for many years. She was always good to me. She's flying high in a better place now. Praying for the family. Love to all!!

This lady was like my second Mother when i was a teenager!! Such a sweet lady and her and RP were SO SO good to us crazy girls!! Rest in Peace sweet lady and I know Freddie & Preston were waiting at those pearly gates of heaven with their arms out just waiting on their Mom!!!
This really breaks my heart. She was such a sweet woman and I loved her as my own Grandmother. Reat in peace Granny! We love you!
