Dana McIlvoy, 62, of Weiner, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born August 3, 1952 in Helena, AR. He retired from Sanders Inc. where he worked as the store manager.
Dana was preceded in death by his father, Gene Lee McIlvoy Sr; a brother, Douglas Lane McIlvoy; and a niece, Paige Ann Herring.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Hohn McIlvoy; three daughters, Dagen (Gary) McIlvoy and Beth McIlvoy both of Weiner, and Kristin (John) Stanford of Harrisburg; the children's mother, Tawanna McIlvoy; a brother, Gene Lee McIlvoy II of Judsonia; one sister, Pamela (Tony) Herring of Jonesboro; a nephew, Gene Lee (Jamie) McIlvoy III of Paragould; a niece, Mandy (Casey) Herring of Jonesboro; two great nieces, Anna and Liza McIlvoy; and his beloved dog, Freddy.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Weiner with Rosary following at 8 pm.
Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Weiner with Rev. Mike Sinkler officiating.
Farrell Jones, Tom Jones, Brad Mack, Tony Newberry, Scott Matthews and Eddie Wright will serve as active pallbearers.
J.W. Furnatter, Richard Taylor, Franklin Kimble, Donna Siddons, Larry Joe Cooper, David Schwartz, Bill Roberts, Mark Greeno and the staff of Sanders Inc. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Betty, and Pam, I just found out about Dana's passing and I am so sorry. My heart and prayers go out to each of you and to the rest of Dana's family. I love you my friend and if you need me for anything please let me know.
Prayers for all the family. I will miss my beloved friend. We had many wonderful times together. Nothing can erase the memories. I wish I could have talked to you one more time. I had one more thing to say to you. But it will have to wait.....until we meet again. I love you, Dana.
