Mr. David Michael ''Mike'' Nichols, 62, of Lamar, passed away April 25, 2015 in Malvern, AR. He was born September 13, 1952 in Covina, CA to Monroe and Charlcie (Duff) Nichols. Mike served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Lamar Baptist Church, Millwright Local Union 216 of OK & AR, and the Johnson County Cattle Association. Mike loved farming and cattle. Mr. Nichols is preceded in death by his dad, Monroe Nichols and father-in-law, Carl Zimmerman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth (Zimmerman) Nichols of Lamar; son, David Carl Nichols of Lamar; Mother, Charlcie Nichols of Lamar; sister, Maxine and Dwain Melson of Lamar; brother, Terry and Sharon Nichols of Lamar; mother-in-law, Doris Zimmerman; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; special nephews, Chris Melson and Joe Melson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

We are so sorry for you and your family during this time. I remember meeting him at the 64 galore yard sale a couple of years ago while you guys were shopping. I will be out of town during the funeral, but Carolyn and I will continue to pray for you & family. We love & miss you guys.

So sorry to hear this! Mike and I graduated together in 1970 from Lamar. He was always a great friend and Cousin. I know all of his family & friends will miss him. I wish all of his family the best in this sad time.
