Lillie Mae Treat

of Marshall, AR

July 19, 1928 - April 24, 2015

Lillie Mae Treat went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born on July 19, 1928 to Rack and Alcie Kelley. Mae married W.C. Treat on September 25, 1948. They lived all of their lives in Searcy County.

Mae worked at Flintrock Shirt Factory for many years and was a cook at the Marshall Senior Citizen Center until her retirement in 1998. Mae was a Christian and attended church her whole life. She was a member of South Mountain Freewill Baptist Church where she and W.C. played and sang together for many years. In recent years Mae enjoyed worshipping at Nubbin Hill Church with her daughter and son-in-law.
Mae loved to cook and was famous for her homemade lemon, chocolate, and coconut cream pies. When she wasn't cooking, she enjoyed eating her favorite son-in-law's cooking. Mae enjoyed watching deer and squirrel playing in her yard and watching flowers bloom, especially her pink tulips. In recent years she spent time watching baseball and softball games on TV, working Sudoku puzzles, and joking with Ray. She looked forward to family get-togethers and especially watching her great-grandchildren play. ''Nanny'' will be missed by all of them.

Mae is preceded in death by her husband, W.C., her parents, 4 brothers, and a sister.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Ray Barnes of Marshall; a grandson, Jimmy (and Aneilya) Barnes of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; 2 granddaughters, Susan (and Malcolm) Smith of Conway, and Jennifer (and Andy) Bixler of Harrison; and 4 great-grandchildren, Noah and Aaron Smith and Ethan and Makayla Bixler. She is also survived by a sister, Margie Morris of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Bev Kelley of California, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mae will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 27, 2015 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Joe Dale Williams, Bro. Kenny McDaniel and Bro. Johnny Rhoda officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Sunday, April 26, 2015 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Nubbin Hill Cemetery near Leslie. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Barnes, Malcolm Smith, Andy Bixler, Billy Ray Kelley, Warren Hill and Cliff Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Mae's great grandchildren, Noah Smith, Aaron Smith, Ethan Bixler and Makayla Bixler.
