Jack Webb

of Sherwood, AR

April 12, 1928 - April 23, 2015

Mr. Jack Herman Webb, 87 of Sherwood, AR, passed away to his eternal resting place on April 23, 2015. He was born in Faulkner County on April 12, 1928 to the late Floyd Wesley and Esther Grace Collar Webb. He was a blue-eyed hard working cattle rancher who lit up with a big smile at the sight of little ones. Mr. Webb was a hunter of arrowheads and other artifacts on his homestead and was a historian of the Faulkner Gap area who could tell vivid stories of days gone by. He was an avid reader and teacher of Chinese Checkers who was called upon for many years to witch wells. He was not a frivolous man but lived simply. Mr. Webb was a proud and honest man who earned the respect of all who knew him.
Mr. Webb is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Harold Webb, Wendell Webb and Donald Webb, two sisters; Lois Baker and Patsy Bailey.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Florence Marie Webb, three children; Patricia Shook (Merle) of Conway, Brenda Hartwick of Rison and Kerry Webb (Cindy) of North Little Rock, seven grandchildren; Dana Shook, Melynda Hardin, Brad Shook, Allison Kelley, Ashley Stocks, Matthew Webb and Clint Webb, four great grandchildren; Dustyn Bundrick, Aislynn Stocks, Emma Kelley and Cecilia Webb, two step great grandchildren; Tyler Hardin and Aundrea Hardin, two sisters; Jean Rushin of Little Rock and Marilyn Crow (Lewis) of Vilonia, three brothers; Roy Lee Webb of Little Rock, Floyd W. Webb(Monteen) of Vilonia and Wayne Webb (Fern) of Sherwood.
There will be a funeral service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Roller Mc-Nutt Funeral Home in Conway. Visitation will precede the service at noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cato Cemetery in Cato.

My deepest condolences to your family. Losing a loved one is never easy. As you continue in life keep the wonderful words found at Revelations 21:4 with you and hold dear the thought found in Isaiah 25:8. No, I can not bring your loved one back but I hope that the comfort in knowing that God not only wants to but will is encouraging in itself. - Acts 24:15. Again, I am deeply sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Ashley Worley

The wonderfully written Obituary sounds like Jack Webb was a man I would like to have known. Just know that we at Pauline Baptist Church in Monticello, Arkansas, are praying for Allison and all her family during this time of bereavement. We thank God for hope in Heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord.

My heart and prayers go out to this great family of Webb, I know everyone looked up to Jack so much. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but have had a life long beautiful relationship with his sister Marilyn Grace Webb Crow. I know yours and Lewis' loss is great in that you looked at his wisdom for so long. Prayers are with all the family. Reba Webb
