Tami Suzette Ward, 51, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 14, of a massive stroke. She leaves behind two daughters, Jessica Penland of Little Rock and Lauren Delanty (Jay) of Conway. Survivors are her father, Bill Ward (Emelene) of Bee Branch and her brother, Tony Ward (Debbie) of Conway. She was preceded by her mother, Suzy Ward.
Born September 10, 1963, Tami graduated Conway High School and earned her BS degree in biology from UCA. She then earned her BS degree in nuclear medicine and her Certified Research Specialist degree at UAMS. She received her Master of Public Administration degree in December, 2014, from Arkansas State University. She recently joined Hewlett-Packard in Little Rock .
Tami's years in nuclear medicine were spent in clinics and hospitals from California to Maine. One of her last assignments was with Cardiovascular Consultants of Cape Cod in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
A true lover of life, Tami exulted in helping others, volunteering with outreach programs concentrated on the underserved and always with a heart for abandoned animals.
TO THE FAMILY - I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I HAD THE JOY OF WORKING WITH TAMI FOR 7 YEARS WHILE EMPLOYED AT UAMS. THERE WAS NEVER A DULL MOMENT WITH TAMI AROUND. I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF HER AND WILL MISS HER DEARLY.

Tami was so special to us on Cape Cod and especially to me. She was so generous with her heart and soul. She always made time for her friends and was so helpful to me when I had trouble. I am so sorry to hear of Tami's passing. I had the privilege of working with her in Nuclear Medicine at both UAMS and the VA. We had many great experiences and laughs together. I will be praying for her family and friends.
