J. T. Jr. Carter, 85, of Conway was born to the late Johnny Thomas and Vita Anthony Carter on January 3, 1930 in Conway, Arkansas and went to be with his Lord on April 15, 2015 in Conway. He was a faithful member of the Zion Baptist Church and was a well known and respected carpenter in the area, having worked many years for the Joe Leonard and Joe Bass construction companies. J.T. was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing and was a master story teller.
J.T. is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Floyd Edward Carter, Earl Carter and Jerrell Carter.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Evelyn, of the home, one daughter, Patsy Anderson of Conway and two grandsons; Alan Baker of Corpus Christie, TX and Jesse Thomas Anderson, of Conway, many other relatives and friends.
There will be a graveside service in his honor on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:30 pm at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway, Arkansas and a visitation on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
My deepest sympathy for you Evelyn and family. Praying you will be given comfort through our Lord for your loss. J.T. was a good person and will be greatly be missed by all who knew him.
