James ''Sonny'' Eugene Bennett, 75 of Searcy passed away April 13, 2015. He is survived by his daughter Gretta Jordan of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He worked many years as a police officer for Searcy and Bald Knob.

I remember who i called uncle SONNY,when i became one of the family,so many years ago.He was funny an a joker most of the time.Always giving close family members HELL on what he chose to be picky about.Whether it mattered to anyone else or not! He was always gonna give his opion LOL! Most of which got laughed off. I know he loved his daughter Gretta, An his wonderful grand kids!!!!! an Great grandkids. MAY GOD BLESS HIM AN ALL HIS FAMILY.Im sure there are stories he would like to have told to the kids while stretching the truth as he went along just to see them laugh. Or like sister inlaw FAY get her so frustrated over something he NEW would hit a nerve, then he an Charles would just laugh on how she reacted ! an yes it was funny most of the time.LOL.
