I cannot express the deep sorrow I feel. Rebecca was a part of all our lives during elementary, junior high and high school. She and Kellie were awesome majorettes together. Rebecca was a perfect example of "do not mistake meekness for weakness". She was one of the strongest young ladies I have ever know. I pray for Frank, Susan, Rachel and Korey. God be with you all in the difficult days ahead.

May the our Lord bless and comfort you all during this difficult time and give you peace. Rebecca went through a lot during her journey. We remember the time she came to our two year old Sunday School class at Bellevue. She was the only little one I can remember that wouldn't let me get close to her. I could see the fear in her eyes - she was used to hurtful things happening to her when male doctors came near you told me. But she overcame all that. A few years ago I had the privilege to be called to jury duty with her. She was now a confident young lady and was a joy to talk too! The defense threw me off that jury and I remember praying that justice would be done in that unpleasant murder trial. I later found out that she became the jury foreman which brought a conviction!

Jesus said in this world we would have trouble, but fear not, I have overcome the world. Rebecca had her trouble, but she overcame with Jesus help and now that trouble has been replaced with joy. I know heaven will be a special place, because such special people like her will be there. I look forward to talking to her again one day......

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to her family. Rebecca appeared to be like a bright and shining star whose light shined on every child she touched. Rebecca was an exemplary kindergarten teacher, who believed that every child has the ability to learn. Rebecca's students came to her from various socioeconomic backgrounds, most not kindergarten ready, but at the end of the school year, they were ready to be first-graders. She built a strong academic foundation for her students. Rebecca used classroom teaching methods and techniques that directly engaged children in the classroom learning process. She had the ability to bring out the best in every child she touched. She will always be remembered as the bright and shining star in the lives she touched. She was one of Arkansas' finest teachers.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and may God embrace you with His Grace and Mercy.

Mrs. Vaughn was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Mrs. Vaughn had the biggest heart and was willing to help anyone who needed help. She truly loved her students and the teaching profession. I am going to miss talking with Mrs. Vaughn at Faulk Elementary, listening to her stories about CoCoa and Korey. I would like to say to the family that I am keeping you all in continuous prayer. Praying that GOD WILL give you the strength you need at this difficult time.

Mrs. Vaughn worked at Faulk Elementary with me for almost three years. She was one of the most dedicated, caring, and loving teachers I have come in contact with in my 16 years of education. The kids loved her very much, and the feeling was mutual. Mrs. Vaughn and I would talk about the TV shows we both watched, and sometimes she would stop by the library with her husband, Korey. Their love for each other was very evident, and my heart aches for him and the rest of her family, along with Cocoa, because I have no doubt that that dog is missing her too.
May you all find peace and comfort in knowing that she touched all of us here at Faulk, and we are better for having known her.

I didn't know Rebecca very well but she seemed
to be a very sweet natured person. I got to know
her while singing in the city wide Christmas cantata. she always sat beside me and we would
talk, she told about her love for teaching, and
about getting married. She seemed very happy.
I know it is so devastating for all of you My prayers and thoughts are with you and
your family. God Bless

Dear Frank and Susan please accept our deepest sympathy in the home going of your precious daughter, Rebecca. She fought such a grand fight being born with a heart defect and ended up being a kindergarten teacher and a wife. We don't understand, but our precious savior does. We are praying for you during this difficult time. God bless and we love to you both.

Please know that our family is lifting all of your family up in prayer. If ever Isaiah 40:31 applied to anyone, it is about your sweet, sweet Rebecca. "Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary." Peace be with all of you.

Vaughn Family - you have my deepest condolences with the recent passing of Rebecca. Please look to the Bible for comfort, strength and endurance at a very difficult time. God promises us that in the near future death will be done away with and you will have the opportunity to see Rebecca again.

Rev 21:3, 4 states: 3. “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

With deepest sympathy,
