Cheryl Musselwhite Harrington

of Cleveland, AR

November 10, 1964 - March 12, 2015

Cheryl Musselwhite Harrington, 50, of Cleveland, AR went to be with the Lord Thursday March 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Irvin E. Porter and Maternal Grandmother, Iva E. (Moore) Porter.

Cheryl was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Ridge and served as Director of Finance and taught the Sunday school class called D.O.R.K.S ''Daughters of The Risen King''. She was also a member of several committees at the church. Cheryl was employed as Director of the Conway Sanitation Department of Conway for many years and also Director of Faulkner County Solid Waste District. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, camping, boating, and traveling, especially going on cruises and mission trips. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with family and friends and touched the lives of everyone she met. She inspired everyone to be more than they thought they could be. Cheryl courageously fought cancer for 15 years and in sharing her story of survival with others was able to reach out to them and inspire them. Cheryl's favorite quote was ''God is good…always! Gods got this!''

Cheryl is in heaven waiting for her husband, Ross E. Harrington of Cleveland, AR, her parents, Jessie and Jean Jasso of Cleveland, AR, her sister Tree Allemang, of Reno, NV, her children, Amanda Harrington of Sheridan, Jessica (Heath) Gifford of Center Ridge, Jeremy (Whitney) Rodman of Conway, Jennifer (Trae) Bradford of Center Ridge, Devin Harrington of Morrilton, Haley Harrington of Glen Rose and Kaylee Harrington of Cleveland, grandchildren, Jaxon, Paisley, and Karver Gifford of Center Ridge, and Alexis Oglesby and Holden Roberts of Sheridan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 16th at New Life Church in Conway, with burial following at Lone Grove Cemetery in Solgohachia. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Robinson, Danny Alford, Josh Wolverton, Lee Danner, Donald Degarmo, and Ross Scalise. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway (501) 327-7727. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, please send memorials to first Baptist Church of Center Ridge in memory of Cheryl Harrington.

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the family of your beloved Cheryl. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Cheryl personally, I wanted to share with you comfort from God's word at John 5:28,29. Here we are given the wonderful hope of the resurrection of our dear loved ones here on earth just as Lazarus was in John 11. Take comfort in knowing that every tear that falls from our eyes does not escape our loving heavenly Father's notice. He knows the depth of our feelings when we lose someone we love. (Psalm 34:18) Share your memories with those who surround you for the memories shared are the ones most truly cherished. May they bring you a sense of peace and joy in your hearts as you begin to heal. Take care of yourselves and each other during this very difficult time.

It still does not seem real that Cheryl is gone. I keep waiting for her to walk in and say " hey girls..... I'm back! Surprise! ". From the first time I met her, I continued to be amazed at how strong she was. Whatever was thrown at her, she'd just shrug her shoulders . She chose to live life to the fullest. The last time I saw her, I could tell she did not feel well and her body was tired. She still smiled. She knew that, no matter what, her body, mind and soul would someday be whole. I just don't know if she knew it'd be this soon. Beautiful lady with a life shortened on earth, but living in eternity now, with our Heavenly Father. Anytime she saw me getting teary eyed, she'd hug me and say, "it is what it is, don't cry". Which was hard, when you see someone so strong, having to go through what she had. To her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God surround you with His love and comfort you in the many days ahead. I love you all.

An extraordinary lady in many ways, Cheryl will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. Her remarkable and courageous fifteen year battle against cancer serves as an inspiration to others in similar circumstances. Likewise, the tremendous, loving support of her family and friends serves as an example of true Christian love among brothers and sisters in Christ.

May God's Word and His Holy Spirit (the "Comforter") provide strength, comfort, and assurance in this time of need.

With Sympathy,
Billy and Gail Booth

Cheryl and I were on the Lady Bulldogs basketball team together in White Hall. She was always a special person, ready with a quick smile and a helping hand to everyone. I have many fond and funny memories of special times with Cheryl. She was a positive influence on so many lives, showing great faith and amazing courage no matter what came her way. She was such a bright light and now she is shining down on all of us from Heaven. Rest in peace in His loving arms, sweet lady!
