James Dee '' J.D.'' Dollahite, 91, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Helena, Arkansas. Mr. Dollahite was born January 25, 1924 at West Helena, Arkansas to the late Jasper Koen and Betty Lee Smith Dollahite. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Dollahite is survived by a son, Marty Lee (Adelle) Dollahite of Lexa, Arkansas; one daughter, Francine Dollahite Baggett (Robert) of Warren, Arkansas; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one sister, Betty Lou Dollahite Keen of Monroe, Louisianna; one brother, Samuel Webster ''Bud'' Dollahite (Debra) of Searcy, Arkansas and special extended family, Mrs. Jo Hill and Michael Berryman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Stella Mae Stevens Dollahite; two sons, James Larry Dollahite and Johnny Ray Dollahite; one daughter, Margarite Ann Brooks; three sisters, Mary Lee Dollahite Keen, Ala Mae Dollahite Higgins, and Lillian Ruth Dollahite Hawkins; three brothers, Jasper Koen ''J.K.'' Dollahite, Frank L. Dollahite, and Earl Douglas Dollahite; and one grandson, Timothy Ray ''Tim'' Dollahite.
Funeral services for James D. ''J.D.'' Dollahite will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Trenton Baptist Church in Trenton, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Mike Shelley will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Roller-Citizens.
Pallbearers are James Lee Dollahite, Ryan Robert Dollahite, Calvin Smith, David Bernard, Keith Bernard and Doug Padgett. Honorary Pallbears are Robert ''Bobby'' Baggett, Jr., Robert Benjamin ''Ben'' Baggett, III, Cody Anderson Dollahite, Jase Wayne Carr, Robert Baggett, Sr. and Michael Berryman.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena (870) 572-2571.
