Welcome home C. G.
Welcome home Cpl. Bolden
Freedom is never free...
Thank you for paying far more than your share..
My Prayers for all the Bolden family and Larry, I know it must make your heart warm to finally have your daddy home. God Bless all.
It is an honor to know I had a great uncle and aunt who gave so much so the American people can live on in freedom. Thank you, it would have been a great privilege to have known the whole family. Grandpa (Jack) and Grandma (Ruthie) told us about Uncle C.G. They never forgot him.
How we wish to be there today. We thank Uncle C. G., all our service men and women and their families for the sacrafices to keep our nation's freedoms. Please accept our gratitude and know we are with you in thought.
Corporal Bolden's is such a bittersweet story. A young soldier, husband and father gives the ultimate sacrifice in a POW camp thousands of miles from his home. 61 years later his remains are returned to his family, so that he can finally be laid to rest in his home town. It is with sincere gratitude and respect that I thank you, Sir, for your service. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Bolden family as you welcome this hero home.
Gerry, Larry, Tanya, Traci. and Tara.
Such a bitter sweet time for all of you. I can only imagine the myriad of emotions you must feel, but from my perspective, as someone who is "sorta" still family, I can speak of mine. To know that a person who is loved so dearly has made the ultimate sacrifice is humbling to say the least. Knowing that C.G. can be laid to rest in the country he loved is so fitting. The years must have been torturous to endure. I am elated that all of you can finally be at peace and know he is home. You can now have a place to visit on birthdays, Christmas, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day instead of just wondering....little small flags will have more meaning, a man in fatigues will catch your eye, a military convoy, or the pledge of allegiance at a civic event might just bring tears to your eyes, but you will know C.G. is finally home in your arms and the arms of the Lord.
My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time, but the comfort of knowing there is so much support and love surronding you will give you peace. God bless you.
Jerra
May the lord let the sun shine on you always.

For me to remember uncle C.G. is to look at his picture. I remember his laugh & big smile. Mom Exie would write once sometimes twice a year to see if there was any news on uncle C.G. Allot of men in our family went to war and some came home with serious wounds but they came home.It was by one that we learned the hard sad meaning that war is hell and freedom is not free. Thank you to all service men & women & I"m very thankful to uncle C.G. for my freedom. Love to Jerry, Larry & all
His service to our country will never be forgotten.
