James Devoy Manns, age 75, of Harrison, died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Highlands of Harrison Orendorff. He was born March 22, 1939, in Snowball, Arkansas, the son of Sparlin and Maudie (Cummings) Manns. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Tommy Joe Manns and Zebbie Craig Manns; and his sisters, Martha Brewer, Betty Lou Langreder, and Maxine Gordon.
James was a lifelong resident of the Harrison area. He was a farmer. He liked to repair things and go to auctions. He liked to travel, the outdoors, and fishing.
James is survived by his wife, Christine Manns, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his sons, Jimmy Manns, Jamie Manns, and Josh Manns of Green Forest; his daughter, Alisha Manns-Wood and husband Johnny, of Yellville, Arkansas; his step-son, Michael Fuller; his sister, Linda Herrington, of St. Louis, Missouri; his brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Sharon Manns, of Valley Springs, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Faith and Gracie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Del Martin and Derwin Martin officiating.
Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Del Martin, Josh Manns, Alisha Manns-Wood, Marie Burrouth and Greg Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Shannon Brownfield, Harrison Retirement Center, Highlands of Harrison Orendorff and Legacy Hospice.

I am so sorry to hear about James. I got to visit with him at the retirement center and really enjoyed it. We grew up together in the Richland community. That was many years ago but sitll have good memories of him.
