Mr. Claudie L. Knight, age 78 of Mountain Home passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 . He was born September 21, 1936 in Buffalo, Arkansas to Marshel W. Knight and Ivon Duggins Knight. He married Judith Vancil on July 11, 1959 in Cotter, Arkansas.
Mr. Knight was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an avid fisherman and a bee keeper.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Knight of Mountain Home; a daughter Debra (Robert) Wortman of Mountain Home; 3 sisters: Nancy (Joey) Crawford of Mountain Home, Bessie (T.J.) Henderson of Mountain Home and Jessie Flippin of Flippin; a brother Jimmie (Carol) Knight of Gassville. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2 PM Friday, January 9, 2015 at Roller Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Gassville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Henderson, Alan Henderson, Will Henderson, Bob Knight, Monty Barnett and John Massey.
I worked with Claudie many years ago at Mar-Bax, and I saw him at Stichco a few years ago. He was still the same sweet and funny person he was many years ago. Prayers for your family during this difficult time.
Judy and Debra: I am so sorry for your loss. Claudie was always a lot of fun to work with back in the Capital-Mercury days. He could always make me laugh. I can only imagine how much you will miss him. Hugs to you both.
He is going to be missed by all who loved and admired him.
So sorry to read about the passing of Claudie. Working at Mar-Bax with him and being neighbors in Town Park bring back pleasant memories! Knowing most all of you in school and work were special times too.
