I can't believe this got by us. I can't believe we were even in town on the day of the funeral. I have no words, and those that know me will tell you that is saying a lot. Pops came into my life at a time when I really needed him. He married my Grandmother and ultimately became a 3rd grandfather to me in every way. I loved that old man and his stories, the jokes that seemed to spring from nowhere with such a casual spirit you would almost miss it and then laugh both from his simple good natured humor and the utter shock of realizing the ingenious way he would slip it into the conversation. Pops was a part of our family for as long as I can remember. I literally grew up knowing this man. Mr. & Mrs. Judah (as we knew them then) had been friends with my grandparents from long ago when my mom and aunt were young. So once my grandpa passed away, and my grandma and he approached us asking what we would think of them getting married, we let them know we thought it was a perfect fit, and that Grandpa and Mrs. Judah would agree. A short time after that, my other grandfather passed away, and though not as suddenly, he stepped in to help our family grieve. He will never know how much he helped me cope with what was one of the hardest things I have ever had to endure, but then again, he probably knew all along. He even waited with my in the back room of the church 7 months later before I got married. He had a way to simply *be* with you in the right way. I wish I had known, I would have liked to have been there for him in turn. Thank you, Pops, for teaching me how to *be*.

"Pops" will be greatly missed. He has been in my life since I was in second grade. Just the other day I ran across the Parcheesi game he hand made. He's now resting with Mrs. Judah and Dad.

Carroll was a member of our family when married to our Aunt Ann (Campbell) and was always such fun to be around. There was never a dull moment! I have many fond memories of him and send my deepest sympathies to the family.

I knew Carroll while he was married to my aunt Ann Campbell. He was such a nice person and was always the gentleman. He kept us in stitches with his stories. I know he will be greatly missed.
