William Ray Becknell, 82, of Joiner, AR passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. Born August 21, 1932, to John Oscar and Hannah Dean Becknell, he was a member of Joiner Baptist Church, past member of the Joiner City Council, a retired truck driver for over 50 years, loved to grow his garden and share his crops with friends and his doctor. He always enjoyed a good joke or telling a joke. He was the owner of three patents: the Electric Roll over Tarp, Anti Fog Mirror and Hydraulic Break Bleeding Machine. He was a devoted Christian and loving husband and father. He loved to travel and traveled 47 states, plus Canada and Mexico. He loved to spend time at the lake with his family pulling the kids on the tube. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alma Virginia Becknell; two sons: Glenn Ray Becknell of Chanute, KS and David Earl Becknell of Jonesboro, AR; 7 grandchildren: Brandon Becknell, Alyissa Becknell, Brittney Becknell, Samantha Harston, Justin Becknell, Walker Becknell and Luke Becknell; one daughter-in-law Leigh Ann Becknell; one sister Irene Becknell Morris of Greenfield, IN.
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of cousin Ray. He was a real character and will be greatly missed by our family. Sorry we can't make it for the services but our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Ray was a real character and a great uncle. Last time I saw him he was scolding me for not having bread on the table! He was easily pleased with a few slices of white sandwich bread. I know too he adored his family. He holds a special place in my heart and will be missed terribly. - Kimberly
