Arvil Lee Walker, 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born on October 26, 1934 in Ozark, Arkansas to his parents Arnold and Betty (Pruett) Walker. He was retired from Riverside Furniture Company. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Fort Smith where he was church pianist for sixteen years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Betty (Pruett) Walker, three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ila Jean (Campbell) Walker of the home; one daughter; Angela Chambers of Van Buren; three sons, Alvin Walker of Sallisaw, OK, Richard Walker of Ft. Smith, and Randy Walker of Sallisaw, OK; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters, Zelma Jean White of Dell City, OK, Barbara Barnett of Edmond, OK, Sula Carroll of Waldron, AR, Margaret Eaker of Warner, OK; Linda Tilden of Etna, AR and Kay Minta of Etna, AR; and three brothers, Jerry Walker of Central City, AR, Ray Walker of Cecil, AR and Harold Walker of Tahlequah, OK.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Wares Chapel Cemetery in Dublin, AR under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com

Pallbearers will be William Campbell, Billy Wayne Campbell, Roy Roper, Kris Walker, Mike Chambers and Ronald Wilcox.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Grady Freeman, Phillip Robins, Danny Villines, David Imler and Don Reel.

Randy, there's not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe what a fine Man your dad was.!! So sad to hear of his passing.

What a great man you were. You will be dearly missed. What am I going to do for a baseball viewing partner? I know you will be up there rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals and I will be here pulling for the San Francisco Giants. I'm going to miss you my dear sweet brother-in-law. Thank God that you have been a part of this family for so many years. You have brought so much joy to all of us.

Arvil will be missed immensely, we have grown to love him and Jean very much. What a great friend has left us but one day we will be together again forever. Our hearts are saddened and he will be greatly missed. Arvil Reddenbocker Walker what a great impression you made in our lives.
