She was a wonderful hostess and regularly invited others to join the family for holiday meals. She loved the fellowship and friendship of her friends at water aerobics. She had the heart of a servant for so many people but especially over the last few years when she faithfully and tirelessly cared for her husband after his accident. Belva was involved in many Bible studies and loved sharing her faith. She loved her grandchildren and always enjoyed having them visit as often as possible.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014, 2:00-3:00pm at Four Mile Hill Church of Christ. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm with Herb Lee and Casey McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in White County Memorial Gardens.

We remember Belva in so many wonderful ways. She was always so encouraging, especially during the time Bobby and Jim were going through preaching school in Lubbock together. I talked to her on the phone a few months ago and she was so excited about the Bible correspondence courses she was involved in online. It will be great to be up her again one day!! Our love to you all!
My thoughts and prayers are with Belva's family at this great loss. I was friends with Belva at Tivy High. She was such a lovely person. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
To the Family of our Darling Belva: We remaining Kuckaburros will miss her forever; there are only 3 of us left now, but what wonderful 1950's memories we have of our group, of which Belva was the kindest one. She was also hilariously funny, and we got many a laugh from our life-long pal, whom we referred to as our Injun Pete! I will be writing each of you separately, though I have to have time to process this loss. Of all the people I know, I can be sure that our dear Belva is now looking down on us all...and no doubt chuckling at our human foibles. We will love and miss her forever...but she and Barbara are holding hands in Heaven...
I went through school with the Kookaburras, and we were in band together, and Belva,s house was just up the hill from mine She was a wonderful person, and a lot like her mother, Frances Bates....May God bless all her family!

I have nothing but good memories of Belva and her family as I spent a good amount of time at their home when I was a teenager. God Bless!
