Martha Younger Forshee, 99, of Pleasant Grove, Arkansas died Sunday, October 19, 2014, in a local nursing home.

Born August 31, 1915 in St. James, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Spencer Younger and Genarry Canard Younger.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and collecting teddy bears and salt and pepper shakers. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Geneva Bangs of Batesville and Yvonne Akins of Mountain View; five grandchildren, Gail Abernathy of Batesville, Curtis Bangs of Fayetteville, Carol Opitz of Laguna Niguel, California, Vickie Sloan of Mountain View and Lynn McGee of Batesville; eight great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Okie Forshee.

There will be a private graveside service Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Kelly Cemetery in St. James officiated by Bro. Aaron Maxwell.

Members of her family will serve as pallbearers.

Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
