I have always had a special place in my heart for Uncle Millard. He was a wonderful man who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I'm so sorry I could not be there for the memorial service to tell you these things in person, but Susan and I could not make it. Thanks for the love and happiness that you gave him and for the care and love that you gave him to the end. We should all be so lucky.

Jackie, so sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through. Even though Larry has been gone 18 months it seems like only yesterday and sometimes an eternity. God bless you and my prayers are with you and your family

Millard was a true southern gentleman. Quiet and unassuming and with a subtle but razor sharp wit. I fondly recall a church breakfast where I was selecting my breakfast from a buffet of wonderful foods. Being a small women - not quite 5' tall - and of a 'certain age', I am pretty careful about keeping to small portions. As I was putting a 'dab of this and a dab of that' on my plate, Millard came up behind me and, with the most serious look on his face, said 'Now Cheryl! You'll never grow up to be a big girl if you keep eating like that!" I roared with laughter! Millard's humor was like that....subtle but very witty.
