Mildred L. DeRousse, age 96 of Marshall, Arkansas slipped peacefully into God's arms on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas, surrounded by family, friends and the caring staff of Highland Court.
Mildred was born in DeSota, Missouri on May 12, 1918 to Charles and Leona (Rohlfing) Calliott, the youngest of five children. Her brothers: Henry Calliott, Joe Calliot, Chubby Calliot, and her sister, Ernestine Myers preceded her in death.
She married Lawrence G. DeRousse on May 17, 1942 and enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Lawrence passed away in 2000. Mildred is survived by two children and their spouses: a daughter, Susan and Dan Dietz of Blue Springs, MO, and a son, Larry and Doris DeRousse of St. Joe, AR. She has three grandchildren: Chad DeRousse of St. Joe, AR, Dan Dietz of Warrensburg, MO and Laura (Ben) Schaumberg of Kailua-Kona, HI, and five great-grandchildren: Benjamin Schaumberg of Independence, MO, Ryan Schaumberg of Kailua-Kona, HI, August Dietz, David Dietz and George Dietz, all of Warrensburg, MO. Mildred is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who she thought of as her ''other kids''.
She was a member of the Marshall Methodist Church. Mildred enjoyed the fellowship of her church family and enjoyed attending the services as long as her health allowed.
Funeral services for Mildred will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 15, 2014 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Mike Proctor officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2014 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Dongola Cemetery near Marshall.
Pallbearers will be Danny Myers, Butch Myers, Jerry Myers, Chad DeRousse, Dan Dietz and Bobby Younger. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Myers, Dr. Brian Blair and the staff of Highland Court.
Larry and Doris, our sympathy goes out to you. Didn't hear of Mom's passing until on email this morning. Prayers and concerns go out to the family. We know she is at peace now.

Such a beautiful lady, always with an open door and a helping hand to all she came across. Hard to imagine how many lives she touched, will be missed by many old friends and new friends.
