Nick was a great role model for many young people, particularly during the years he was a Scout leader. I'm glad my son had the opportunity to know him and learn from him. My condolences to the family for their loss.

Our sympathy to the family. We all will miss Nick.
I may not of known him personally, but I know that he will be missed. Prayers, love and well wishes go to Nick's family.
Just remember that you are loved and he was watching you from Heaven above.
We have know Nick as our neighbor, member and deacon of the Church of Christ and a friend. We will miss him as will many members of our community for his kindness, thoughtful, charity, and his humor. To Sara, Phillip, Doug, Jennifer and the rest of his family having had conversations with him in the last month of his illness it is clear that he was ready to leave his earthly body so that he would no longer suffer from his illness. He had an agenda to fulfill by July and he felt he completed it. He loved his family and it was very apparent in his actions and words that they were very precious to him. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud to participate in their activities. He was ever present in the community and Nick's face will be missed at the Christmas drive at Wal-Mart. Sara, I am three doors down and my shoulder is available should you choose to use it. Your husband was a great man to this community and he will be missed by everyone.
Thoughts & prayers for the family & friends. I know he touched alot of hearts & will be missed by many
Sara and Family,

My family and I will personally miss Nick. He was a close friend. We talked of many things. I admired him how he brought his grandchildren to scouts, martial arts, football practice and to the Super Bowl. He was fantastic. He was the one who helped me get into Charity work and community service. I was in a couple of Organizations/ Associated Member that he has contributed to. He served his community and family until his healing. He was the backbone to many community service programs in Van Buren County including the Van Buren County Christmas drive. He was outside Walmart before Christmas collecting toys and asked for some toys for the needy. I gave him all the toys in my shopping cart. My children asked me to go back in Walmart and by some more toys to donate. Nick was the one who initially showed my children community service and charity. Because of that my children donated all their Christmas present that Christmas. Nick was silent contributor to so many organizations and has his contributions has helped thousands of children. Because of these contributions, Nick will help thousands of more children for years to come. Nick worked with Boy Scouts in Van Buren County and Grand Master Han's Martial Arts International. He contributed his time, money, and land to these Organizations. There would not be The Han Center in the United States if not because of Nick's land contribution in Choctaw. Grand Master Han's Martial Arts is a World Wide Martial Arts and Christian Missionary Organization. Through the chain of events there would not be a Martial Program in the After School Program at Clinton School.
We can only imagine what Nick has already seen and who he has met in paradise. He will be sorely missed.
Sara and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know that Nick will live on in your hearts and in the lives of the many people he helped.

Sara, Phillip, Doug and families,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God give you the strength to see you through this time of sorrow. Nick was a wonderful man and no one will ever do more for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts than what Nick has done for them. We have truly lost a wonderful man, but God has a special place for him in heaven and we will see him again when we get there. If there is anything we can do just give us a call.
