James L. Perkins, 91, of Memphis, Tennessee died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Perkins retired from Kellogg's as a shipping Clerk he was a WWII U. S. Army veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart from the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign, and was a member of the Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Perkins and a Grandson Jason Lee Perkins.
He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Perkins of Memphis, TN; a son, Jimmy D. Perkins (Marianne) of Edmond, OK; a sister, Eva Burroughs of Tallassee, FL; grandchildren Rodney Dale Perkins, Lori Angela Preston, two great-grandchildren Skye Angela Preston and Dallas Cade Preston, two great-great grandchildren Brayley G. Davis and Jaiven A. Davis.
Bro. Perkins was a very special man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all..
