Mel and his family left Chicago 39 years ago when he was 52 years old and I understand he had a great second life in Mountain Home. Mel was always full of life and energy. He was a significant factor in my early years when I owned the newstand on the corner of Diversey and Kostner, and when I worked for him on and off part time at the Shell Station when I was in high school and college. You always knew where you stood with Mel and the life lessons I learned being around him helped make me the person I am today. If I were ever to write an autobiography there would be a chapter in it about Mel Munson.
My sympathies to his family.
My great sympathy to Troy and all the family.
I wish Mrs. Munson the best of health in the
future.
Sincerely,
Ivan
