Harold ''Dean'' Huffman, age 75 of Omaha, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 in Blue Eye, Arkansas. He was born November 26, 1938 in Omaha to James and Dollie Huffman.
Dean was a lifelong resident of Omaha area and he had proudly served in the Army National Guard based in Harrison. He was a cattle rancher for over 50 years and was a partner in Standard Oil Company for 15 years. He was an entrepreneur but his greatest partnership started on January 29, 1960 when he married Patsy Barnes and together they raised an upstanding family and worked as team in all facets of their lives.
Mr. Huffman is survived by his wife Patsy of the home, and out of this union, they were blessed with three sons and their wives: Larry Dean Huffman and wife Gina of Omaha, Bill Jim Huffman and wife Terri of Hollister, Missouri, and David Paul Huffman and wife Kelly Ann of Omaha; and a daughter Karen Sue Huffman of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Bradley Dean, Aaron Dean and his wife Esther, Heather Lynn, Amber Jean, Blake David, Alex Paul, and Luke Andy Huffman and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dale Jean Mahler.
Visitation was Sunday, August 4, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Monday, August 4, 2014 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bill Arnold officiating.
Interment will be in Omaha Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dean Jones, Charlie Davis, James Seals, John Linder, Aaron Huffman and Russell Mahler
Honorary Pallbearers: Bradley Huffman, Harold Plott, Chris Tate and Donny Mahler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Dean's memory 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Patsy, Was sorry to hear about Dean passing. That is a hard thing to endure.
